What happened to TheDonald.win?
Since July 2019, I have personally owned TheDonald.win domain. Once it seemed likely the subreddit (/r/TheDonald) would eventually be banned, this domain was used by the mod team for a new community site. My role was domain owner and mod team member. The moderation team, user rules, site code and databases are controlled by two other team members. My hope was always that the domain and site assets would be put under a corporation, but that did not progress.
Following the events of January 6th 2021, it became clear media and law enforcement were attempting to dox and interview the domain owner (me) regarding the site and user content. Unfortunately the mod team had been struggling for some time to address a flood of racist and violent content that appeared to be coming primarily from a small group of extremists, who were often brigading from other sites. This had led to warnings from Epik (domain registrar) and inquiries from the FBI.
Since mods are not permitted to speak with media and I wanted to proactively get ahead of it as domain owner, I chose to leave TheDonald.win moderation team to focus on defending myself, protecting my beautiful family, and providing proper context to what was happening on thedonald.win. Despite my assurances they could continue to use the domain, the controlling mods moved the community to a new site without warning. As I told Adam Crigler, I have no axe to grind. The moderation team is filled with America-loving patriots who volunteer to provide like-minded individuals a place to discuss issues that are heavily censored on almost all other social media platforms.
What is next for TheDonald.win?
Eventually TheDonald.win domain will morph into a new site at America.win. It will focus on the common patriotic causes that will again steer America to the wonderful future promised by our Founders and secured by the blood, treasure, fraternity, and faith of countless souls yearning for Freedom and Equality.

- The voice of the people, not of corporations and foreign lobbyists
- Citizen politicians focused on American interests, not career politicians motivated by self-interest
America.win will feature content from America-first creators and friendly sites, as well as develop a funding platform to help support their work attracting and engaging Americans from all walks of life to participate in the political process, converse with people they may typically not, and provide perspectives in American exceptionalism that social media, news organizations, and politicians traditionally ignore.

Was surprised to see TheDonald.win taken down for the past week... Never fear, we have communications again!

After reading through what happened just now, and for those curious about the story... it seems that the owner of the td.win domain name noticed a post on the site last week saying the community was officially moving to a new web address (patriots.win). The post also badmouthed his handling of the domain, saying he wasn't willingly sharing ownership of it. He then shut the site down soon after he saw the post while he figured out what to do. His official reason for shutting the site down was because the Wall Street Journal was about to do a story on td.win which would bring him unwanted attention, and the FBI was asking him questions, and therefore he didn't think his family was safe. But... that goes against the reasons he listed below. Here's a quote from the old TheDonald.win domain owner, talking about the post with the new address:
"I don’t know why anyone would think it is a good idea to get in a parting shot on someone that they are still dependent upon to keep driving traffic for them. Take that out and we wouldn’t be having this conversation at all. It is that simple. You’re mad at me when you should be asking why your top moderators over there decided to get in a parting shot on someone they were very vulnerable to. They didn’t need my permission for the redirect, but anyone on Earth that thinks they can insult me and lie about me with something I own is foolish."
So, it wasn't the FBI questioning, Wall Street Journal article, or his family's safety..... if it were, he could have shut the site down weeks ago, or handed over the keys to another MAGA moderator. But, instead it was shut down a few hours of a post redirecting users to a new site, and then the above quote.
In short, he was upset that they were moving the site without notifying him. In retrospect, he could have handled it differently. There were other options besides shutting down the ability to see the site. My personal opinion, is that it was an emotional fit on the part of the domain owner. A move that almost makes the move justified, showing that the worries of the small amount of power going to his head were true. There are a lot of people across the country who are in a tough place right now and are dependent on TD.win, especially after a tough election and there being no safe places online. Those people felt like they had no place to turn. The domain owner should have been more thoughtful, maybe temporarily direct people to another online forum, or just make his own post explaining himself. It was a terrible thing. It could easily be both reasons. No reason to mention the FBI questioning if you don't need to.
But he’s advertising a new conservative American forum in its place. Not what I would do if that was my goal.
The only reason he doesn’t have a new site up right now, is he never seemed to have much involvement in the platform beyond initially purchasing the domain name. So when they switched domains, he didn’t have any of the code or community or moderators, or even know how.
May not have been smart for the td moderators to negatively mention him when he still held that small amount of power, but it wasn’t wrong. They were just posting their opinion. He could have posted his. Could be a little more to the story, obviously, like he was trying to get more money for the domain now that the moderators’ and site creators’ work was paying off.

That is a valuable piece of internet real estate. WHy the fuck would he give up that domain for free? Its his, he paid for it and whatever legal fees or other fees he is incurring forit. That is his investment and that investment made it so we were able to have a place to discuss politics freely on thedonald.win for the last couple years. What happens when you have something that the other people in your organization/business want? You offer to buy out thedonald.win domain with money at market value. You offer some kind of share in the company for the domain name. You offer some kind of equal exchange for his stake. What ended up happening is a coup and instead of buying out his stake in the company, they ended up screwing him by using his own domain name, the donald.win to advertise and redirect to their new website and successfully undermined him instead of having to pay him for it which would normally happen in regular business negotiations and dealings.
Dont be self righteous that you think you are entitled to his domain and his stake in the business which he was successfully screwed out of. Dont think he is some kind of unethical person for not wanting to give up his property for free. That is just business.
Also, i could care less who ends up with ownership with the various new websites or how they end up monetizing the websites. I think it is a great idea for a couple ads on the website to generate some revenue. It will only provide more resources to prevent big tech and other providers from taking down either america.win, the donald,win or patriots.win or other free spaces to discuss politics. The investors are providing a valuable service for operating a free speech forum where you can discuss right wing topics which would usually get you banned on other social media platforms. The owners of the_d, america, patriots or whatever website should be paid for that service they are providing with monetization from a couple ads and that revenue flow will only make them stronger to resist take down notices from hosts or other providers.
It was there community/site to move and do what they want with. Even the domain owner said, “They didn’t need my permission for the redirect, but anyone on Earth that thinks they can insult me and lie about me with something I own is foolish."
So once again, no permission was needed to move the site to patriots.win.

There is no explanation for this action other than GREED and SPITE, and you put yourself first before the movement. I was happy to see they had their own domain. I was not happy that they used their first sticky post there to accuse me of things that are not true. You’re conveniently leaving out the part where their first post was 50% “We rebranded because the domain owner betrayed and lied to us and refused to put the domain name into a corporation”.
I don’t know when they launched Patriots.win exactly, but I can definitively say it was there before I saw it at 10am ET and TheDonald.win’s redirect wasn’t brought down until around noon ET. The redirect was up for hours. It would still be up right now had they left me out of their post.
It is insane that some of you do not understand this. The entire community attacks people as often as it breathes, and yet many of you cannot comprehend why many think the community has a lot of bad people and encourages a lot of awful and perhaps illegal behavior.

This is the first post I see. Allready I understand and see the community has been infiltrated by trolls. There is not much to do about this without be part of a delete culture. Alternative is to have open discussions about trolls making fun and conspiracy theories of the site be infiltrated. Maybe discussions become impossible when they spam bs and lies? So another split in the community so our voices are even less heard. Way to go you for doxing yourself and THEN worrying about protecting your family. You could have stayed the course and kept TheDonald.win open (it was rising still in the search numbers and now it's toast thanks for that) but you pulled the plug and the rest of the team were forced to use a backup. I was doxed a very long time ago. First by liberals on reddit and later by 2 idiots from TDW that I banned from Discord for harassing other mods and spreading trash against Discord's TOS. I was also being contacted regularly by news reporters and the FBI. I knew of an article that was about to be published about TheDonald.win in the Wall Street Journal. As I am the only person tied to it legally in America, I decided to defend myself before being tied to message that they would have run had I not spoken with them.
I don't think you have the timeline of events very well. I didn't pull TDW when I left and had never intended to. I made that clear to their team numerous times. I was in fact working on moving the domain into a corp with one of their moderators. That all came to a stop when they launched Patriots.win (via a redirect from TheDonald.win which I own and have sole control over) and their very first post accused me of numerous things that are half-truths at best and mostly fabrications. I would not expect you to leave a "Beat My Ass" sign on your back, and I expect if you can think of it like that and in the context that there are many disturbed individuals that visit that site, then perhaps you can understand why I decided to take down the redirect.
America.win's purpose is to have separate but connected communities. Ruqqus members don't seem to regularly comment on the former TheDonald.win, and I know very few of Patriots.win users visit and discuss things on Ruqqus. That is not helpful. Especially in the case of Patriots.win. Many of their users live on that site. They aren't exposed to other conversations as much as they should be. I'd say they ignore the opinions of other America-first groups, but the truth is they don't even know many of them exist.
Again, I didn't shut the site off. First, I have no control over the code and never have. I did remove the domain redirect because their post disparaged me very unfairly, and I had no opportunity to defend myself. The damage this does is evidenced best in your reaction here with very little of the actual background to the situation.
And to be clear, I'm not going to answer many of the questions people would like. I do not believe this conversation needs to be handled in public at all. I am still speaking with moderators at Patriots.win and have included a link to their site on America.win and TheDonald.win.
Patriots.win users should thank level headed moderators on their site for this becoming a reality.
I'm sure this isn't the juicy gossip many would love to hear, but that's just how it needs to be. The drama needs to die and we all need to focus on saving America.

I'm just getting here. Was very early at T_D, immediate at TDWin, PWin and now reading at ruqqus and trying to figure out what's going on. Didn't do discord because it's long been cucked. I was disappointed to see separation because I felt like we were moving quickly to popularity. I fear for the impact this could have on normies.
I never witnessed at these forums racism, misogyny, antisemitism or whatever leftists call things because I don't become outraged as a sport. I'm old so I still just simply scroll past what I don't wish to read or participate in. I've been a conservative Catholic my entire life. Born and raised as such while I saw weirdness become mainstream. I wasn't a Bernie convert, wasn't red-pilled - I do the red-pilling in my social circles. I quit television 20 years ago because as mentioned, if I don't like it or it doesn't appeal to my beliefs, I don't participate. What others do doesn't bother me whatsoever until it affects me or the people I care about. I strongly believe in America First because it makes sense - not because I dislike people from other nations. I don't care if a mod isn't American as long as that mod believes in America First and MAGA. In fact, I applaud someone that cheers for Trump and America even if they maybe haven't yet been fortunate enough to experience it first-hand.
So, I'm just a regular guy that is concerned to see splinters in our movement especially when unity among us is more valuable than ever.

Like you said, it is good to be exposed to various sources. Believe it or not, there was (probably still is) a very pro Trump community over on TikTok. People from The D would hate TikTok but I found it healthy to browse both. Just like sometimes I would read the more “Trust The Plan” posts, and get high on the Hopium, and other days, I would lean towards the “What the eff are we waiting for- where is the info drops that are supposed to happen?” Our feelings may change from day to day but we always supported (I still do) Donald J Trump. I wish you well. I will check on both sides. I got rid of TikTok for the “app spies on you” shit. FYI after Govt. ruined my life ten years ago I spent the next/last ten years figuring out these "fundamental principles" of "the common law" and "the supreme Law of the Land" here in the U.S. so I could figure out how to ACTUALLY "support and defend the Constitution for the United States, against all enemies, foreign and domestic", as I once swore to do in the Army, and now I actually CAN and HAVE made my City of Tempe Police and Courts actually stop enforcing a lot of things, for many years, "over 90% of what we do" they actually say to me! That includes basically all harmless civil and criminal "offenses", "licenses" and "taxes" on any "right" such as to own property, to privacy, free speech, free travel on public roads, fair exchanges like payment for labor, to carry on any "common practice" such as "practice of law" (as I technically do as a "paralegal"), and so on.
That is how I've got more than one Tempe Police to say "Thats over 90% of what we do", then thank me and actually stop enforcing whatever "colorable law" they stopped me for! By explaining EXACTLY how I will prosecute THEM if they even "neglect to prevent" such "deprivation of rights under color of law", and I SHOW them "the supreme Law of the Land" in these "LawDocs" which I carry with me, which you can get for free on my websites too.
FYI I also know the basics of programming but need to work on my sites a LOT more, to learn PHP and Javascript and finish learning C and HTML and CSS, and have a lot of amazing inventions I'm getting back to working on now too, after ten years, like Self-Powered Magnetic motors! (I did make one magnet propel itself past another ten years ago, and was starting to build a motor when "Government" took everything from me for driving SAFELY according to the officer but while LOOKING "high", despite passing a "sobriety test" even!).
